Birds are singing, mating, nesting now. Let’s go see what we can find!
March 16, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Description: Don’t know a crow from a raven? A sparrow from a finch? Meet at the flagpole at the Visitor Center. Bring binoculars, if you have them. We will explore birds around the Visitor Center and may go for a short hike into the hills afterward. Heavy rain will cancel.
Approximately two hours. 10 a.m. – noon
Dogs: Sorry, only service dogs are allowed in state parks.
Cautions: The Meetup trip leaders and guides are volunteers willing to share their experience in a social hiking environment. Hiking risks include ticks, poison oak, and uneven trail surfaces. Each participant is responsible for evaluating their own hiking skills and stamina to determine if this hike is suitable for them to participate.

o Long pants recommended (for protection against poison oak and ticks)
o Dress in layers
o Sunhat and sunscreen
o Good hiking shoes
o Lunch and snacks
o 2 liters of water
