The tall ship that starred in the 2003 Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl has scheduled a three-week visit to Moss Landing Marina. The ship is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 2 and offer public tours, sailing excursions, and educational programs through November 16. The ship is the official ship of the state of Washington, and it is a U.S. Coast Guard-inspected passenger vessel.
Adventure Sails are family-oriented experiences featuring opportunities for guests to help raise a sail, learn a sea shanty, and take the helm of a real tall ship, conditions permitting. Tickets for all sails are available online or by calling 800-200-5239. Excursion are $49 adults, $42 children 12 and under.
Self-guided walk-on tours are a chance to visit the ship and speak to the crews, who will be in period costume. No reservations are required. A $5 donation per person is requested.
