Cruisin’ the Fossil Coastline at the Oakland Museum of California
January 17 - March 17
Long time collaborators, artist Ray Troll and paleontologist Kirk Johnson, produce imaginative
depictions of the prehistoric world that are nonetheless grounded in scientific research. With an
eye toward California and the West Coast, Troll and Johnson’s new exhibition Cruisin’ the Fossil
Coastline, at the Oakland Museum of California, offers a glimpse of the flora and fauna that
inhabited our landscapes millennia ago. The exhibition, open through March 17, is paired with
fossils and bones from the museum’s collections and from the California Academy of Sciences.
