Fire Recovery Walk Series

January 13, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join our ecologists for a walk on Sonoma Valley lands to learn to interpret fire landscapes and see the land recovering. We will be looking for special “fire follower” wildflowers, assessing burned trees, learning how to interpret fire-affected landscapes, and discussing questions such as: Why did this happen? What does it mean? How do we prepare for it happening again?

This series is free of charge, paid for by SEC’s Sonoma Valley Ecological Fire Relief Fund. Donations to this fund – dedicated to fire education, active response, and prevention – are gratefully accepted at https://www.sonomaecologycenter.org/sonoma-valley-fires-fund/.
