Garland Ranch Early Wildfowers
February 24, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
This is a CALIFORNIA NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY field trip. Please don’t sign-up unless you love botany and nature. With a few exceptions, CNPS field trips are nature hikes, not a ‘get your heart rate up’ hike.
Everyone must sign-up themselves; you may not sign-up others.
Many of our field trips have a waitlist, therefore, you may be blocked from future CNPS hikes if you are a no-show.
Be sure to check your email just before the outing as occasionally an outing must be cancelled at the last minute. Also, if you are on the wait list, sometimes participants cancel the day before, moving you from the WAITLIST to GOING.
This hike of ±3.5 miles and ±800 feet ascent has a delightful variety of wildflowers including Indian warriors and shooting stars. We’ll go out the Terrace Trail, return by Garzas Canyon Trail and have lunch beside Garzas Creek. Bring water and lunch. Arrive early; we depart on time. Led by Lynn Bomberger.
