Exploring Golden Gate Park
March 17, 9:30 am - 1:30 pmFree
Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes, but did you know that Golden Gate Park has 10 lakes of its own? We’ll visit nine of them and see much more on this St. Patrick’s Day adventure in the urban park built on sand dunes.
Trip Leader: Gail MacGowan
Distance: A moderate walk of about 6 miles on mostly level ground.
Where to meet: We’ll assemble in front of the Model Yacht Club at the 36th Avenue and Fulton Street entrance. There are restrooms near our meeting spot. Street parking is available inside the park on JFK Drive and 36rd Avenue.
Leaders Note: Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Wear good walking shoes and dress in layers. If you have questions, email Ken Lavin or phone him (415) 543-6771 x321.
