NorCal Music Festival makes stop in Morgan Hill

The second annual NorCal Music Festival comes to a close June 6-9 with chamber music and orchestra masterworks, including guest artists the Ghaderi-Focks Duo.

The pair—Kimia Ghaderi, violin, and Andrew Focks, piano—will perform a program of works by Bach, Telemann, Mendelssohn, Kreisler, Rachmaninoff, Richter and Ramnath at 7:30pm June 8 at Advent Lutheran Church in Morgan Hill. They also will perform as part of chamber ensembles at 7:30pm June 6 at Advent Lutheran. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Ghaderi and Focks have been musical collaborators since 2012.

Other ensembles will perform on June 6 at Sequoia Christian Church in Redwood City and Congregation Sherith Israel in San Francisco.

The final series of Orchestra Masterworks Concerts will be a program of works by festival co-founder Kyle T. Jones and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, at 7:30pm June 7 at Advent Lutheran, 7:30pm June 8 at First Christian Church in Berkeley, and 5:30pm June 9 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco.
