Market comes to Stomping Ground

Monthly event debuts July 13

Janu Goelz of Alara Cellars has long loved the idea of an open air market and is thrilled to bring Makers Market to The Stomping Ground on the second Saturday of each summer month: July 13 and Aug. 10, from 2-8pm, with more dates to come. The market coincides with the planned Sip ‘N Sway summer concert series.

“We will have 20-plus local makers selling all-American handcrafted goods, including jewelry, handbags, ceramics, glassware, soaps, succulents, candles and more,” Goelz said. “We will have a food truck from 2-8pm, acoustic music from 2-5pm, and a concert from 6:30-9:30pm.”

Concerts are free and people can bring a picnic or food to grill. No outside alcohol.

When customers spend more than $75 at the Makers Market, they can enjoy a complimentary tasting of two wines at all three wineries—Jason-Stephens, Alara Cellars and Calerrain Wines— at the Stomping Ground. A new cidery/meadery is due to join the tasting lineup later this year.

Makers Market, with stores in Santana Row, Broadway Plaza, Napa and Mill Valley, features products that honor the ideals of American craftsmanship, with a mission to rebuild the Legacy of American Made.
